Addressing Department of Defense (DOD) and Retail issued mandates as well as individual RFID needs, our RFID tagging service is designed to allow customers of all sizes to meet issued mandates and become RFID enabled using only an Internet connection. Tagistics is privately held, has completed its initial product development and has initial customers.

Based upon its powerful TAG3 platform, Tagistics also operates a RFID on Demand solution that allows customers to produce RFID identification tags, validate and read them at different read points to gain more visibility into their supply chain. For the first time ever, customers can become RFID enabled using a web based solution, simply by connecting their RFID devices to the Internet as true "Internet Appliances".

Radio frequency identification (RFID) is the most transformational technology to hit the 21st century, one expected to have a dramatic impact across the supply chain of all industries. Bar codes are providing the basic manufacturer and product information on products we purchase. The information contained in those scans have enabled companies to have more visibility to their POS (Point of sale) and inventory positions within their own four walls. RFID takes this simple concept and significantly increases its effectiveness through the use of computer chips ("tags") encoded with an EPC (electronic product code) that can be read by a radio beam. The resulting smart items can in some cases, even receive information (read/write capabilities).
